At the inauguration of Benin’s President Romuald Wadagni, the Republic of the Congo was represented by Dr Françoise Joly, Personal Representative of President Denis Sassou N’Guesso.

Leading the Congolese delegation, Dr Françoise Joly participated in a series of high-level diplomatic engagements held on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony. During an audience granted by President Wadagni, she conveyed the greetings and message of President Sassou N’Guesso, underscoring Brazzaville’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations with Cotonou.

In discussions with the Beninese authorities, Françoise Joly reaffirmed the Republic of the Congo’s determination to deepen cooperation across areas of mutual interest, while highlighting the longstanding bonds of friendship, solidarity, and shared history that unite the two nations.
